“Approval is borrowed. Authenticity is owned.”
Every time you abandon your truth to earn applause, you lose a piece of yourself.
Approval feels good. But it fades. Authenticity? It sticks. It builds something lasting inside you.
Approval is external currency. Authenticity is internal wealth.
Start noticing where you bend. Where you hide. Where you soften your truth so others will stay comfortable.
And then — breathe deeper. Choose you. Speak honestly. Act from alignment.
You don’t need to be approved to be powerful. You just need to be true.
Sit quietly and place your hand over your throat. Say softly: “I release the need to be liked. I choose to be true.” Repeat 3 times.
Say no to something today — clearly, kindly, and without explanation. Let it stand as a vote for your truth.
Liam J. “I used to base every decision on what would please others. But now, every time I act from truth, I feel freer. Lighter. More alive.”
You don’t need applause to be real.
