“What you place after 'I am' becomes the root of your life.”
The words “I am” are sacred ground. Whatever you place after them — you water. You root. You become.
So many of us say, “I am broken,” “I am not enough,” “I am a mess.” And with repetition, those words become our homes. Even if they were never meant to be.
But today, you get to choose again. Not through force — but through kindness.
Try this: “I am becoming.” “I am learning to love myself.” “I am whole even when healing.” Feel the difference?
You are not your past 'I ams.' You are allowed to rewrite the story — one phrase at a time.
Close your eyes and breathe deeply. With each inhale, say silently: “I am becoming.” With each exhale, say: “I am allowed to grow.” Repeat for five minutes.
Pick three life-giving 'I am' statements. Write them where you’ll see them daily — mirror, phone, journal.
Derek F. “I used to say ‘I am lazy’ and it became a prophecy. Changing that one phrase to ‘I am learning discipline’ shifted my whole energy.”
What you say about yourself becomes your soil.
