“The mind fears what the body knows how to survive.”
Your body is not the enemy.
It’s the place where your soul lives. The first to tighten when fear creeps in — and the first to know when peace returns.
An anxious mind spins stories: *What if this? What if that?* But the body never lies.
It tells the truth in heat, in heartbeat, in held breath.
And here’s the deeper truth: you can listen.
You can feel your way back to calm.
Place your hand on your chest. Feel the rise and fall. That’s your body saying, *I’m still here.*
Walk slowly, and notice how your feet land. That’s your body returning to now.
You do not have to logic your way out of anxiety. Let the body lead.
It remembers what the mind forgets: that peace isn’t a thought — it’s a rhythm. And it’s waiting for you.
Stand or sit tall. Take five slow, deep breaths. With each breath, bring awareness to your body — shoulders, chest, belly, legs, feet. Notice without judgment. Just feel yourself inhabiting your space.
Set a timer every few hours. When it goes off, do a 30-second body scan: where are you tight? What needs softening? Give your body the care it asks for.
Tariq A. “I always tried to think my way out of anxiety. But the day I started listening to my body — stretching, walking, breathing — was the day things began to shift. It’s like my body was waiting for me to come back.”
The mind may race, but the body remembers peace.
