“To awaken is to lose the comfort of illusion. But only then can you feel the truth.”
No one tells you that waking up can break your heart.
Not because truth is painful — but because we loved the lie.
The identity we built. The beliefs that kept us safe. The stories that made us feel worthy.
Awakening dissolves what you clung to. And the emptiness it leaves behind can feel like grief.
But grief is not wrong. It’s sacred. It means you’re letting go. It means you’re making room.
You can mourn what never was and still step into what *is*.
Let yourself ache.
Let yourself unravel.
Let yourself feel the disorientation that comes with no longer fitting into the false self.
This is not regression. This is revelation.
This is the part of the journey no one glamorizes — but every seeker must walk through.
And on the other side… is peace that doesn’t shatter, because it was never propped up by illusion to begin with.
Sit in silence. Let your body feel heavy. Breathe into your heart space. Ask inwardly: “What part of me is dissolving?” Let grief or softness arise. Be with it.
Write down what you feel you’re losing. Then underneath, write: 'What am I gaining?' Let truth answer.
Levi G. “I thought awakening would feel like peace. But first, it felt like loss. I didn’t know who I was anymore. But that pain stripped me bare — and then I saw myself clearly for the first time.”
Pain is not proof you’re failing. It’s often proof you’re finally feeling.
