“Fear often pretends to be reason — but the heart knows the difference.”
Fear is clever.
It doesn’t always announce itself with panic. Sometimes, it sounds like: 'This just isn’t practical.' 'You need more time.' 'What if it doesn’t work?'
These are not always wrong. But they are not always right either.
There’s a kind of fear that hides inside logic — convincing you to play small, stay safe, wait longer. It uses the language of intelligence to justify the language of avoidance.
But the heart knows. It knows when a decision feels like expansion and when it feels like delay.
Let today be a day of discernment. Ask gently: 'Is this wisdom… or worry dressed up as caution?'
The mind is a useful tool, but not always an honest one. Your inner knowing is quieter — but it never lies. Start listening there.
Close your eyes and bring to mind a decision you’ve been delaying. Place a hand on your heart and whisper: 'What feels like love? What feels like fear?' Trust what arises.
Write down three reasons you’ve given yourself for not doing something important. Ask if each one is wisdom — or fear wearing a mask.
Naomi F. “I kept saying I wasn’t ‘ready’ to share my writing. I had lists of why. But the truth was, I was scared. Naming that freed me. I published my first piece the next week. The fear didn’t leave — but I stopped obeying it.”
Just because it sounds smart doesn’t mean it’s true.
