“The ache of misalignment is not failure. It is direction.”
Settling isn’t the same as choosing peace.
Peace comes from alignment. Settling comes from fear.
And most of us have been taught to mistake the two.
We stay in jobs that leave us hollow. We say “it’s not that bad” when our bodies scream otherwise. We convince ourselves we’re lucky to even have a paycheck — even if the cost is our aliveness.
But what if the discomfort isn’t punishment? What if it’s guidance?
That restless edge you feel is not your enemy. It’s your inner compass, trying to get your attention. Misery is loud when you’ve silenced your truth.
Today is not about quitting. It’s about listening. Because beneath the ache is something precise and sacred:
You were never meant to live a life that feels like a slow dying. You were meant to feel lit up. Engaged. Useful. Alive.
Sit in silence for 5 minutes. Place your hand over your heart. Ask yourself: “What part of my work feels like settling?” Listen gently. Don’t judge the answer. Just witness it.
Write a list of all the tasks or patterns at work that drain you. Circle the ones you feel you’re ‘supposed’ to tolerate. Reflect on why.
Kelsey M. “I thought something was wrong with me for feeling so restless. But I wasn’t broken — I was misaligned. Once I accepted that, everything changed.”
You are not here to shrink to fit a job that doesn't fit your soul.
